Greg Mitchell

Greg Mitchell got his start in songwriting as many do, playing in local bands around north Alabama and south Tennessee eventually leaving his home near Guntersville and moving to Tennessee where he could be closer to Nashville and the songwriting business. A long time member of and “professional volunteer” to the Nashville Songwriters Association, Greg has had the opportunity to work and associate with some of the brightest and best writing, publishing, and performing talent in Nashville. Greg has performed and written songs in almost every genre of music including one country love ballad which was recorded by an independent New York artist in 2014. Greg’s songs have won numerous awards and he has performed alongside some of the great songwriters of our time such as Jim McBride, Roger Murrah, Kerry Kurt Phillips, Aaron Barker, and his good friend Jim Parker at regular haunts like the Commodore Grille in Nashville and The Red Caboose in Elkmont, Al where he coordinates a songwriting group.

Ron Hackett

Ron Hackett plays an easy listening blend of smooth jazz, light classical, and adult contemporary instrumental music using a combination of finger-style and flat picking on steel and nylon strings with an air of sophistication and refinement that would grace any occasion or event. Ron's chord melody solos are reminiscent of the late Chet Atkins, but Ron's style is a unique blend all his own. He does not strive to emulate other guitarists, but he does learn from them. Other influences include Joe Pass, Django Reinhardt, Pat Metheny, and Lee Ritenour.

Ron plays solo and band gigs around the Tennessee Valley and frequently teams with songwriter Greg Mitchell to perform songwriter shows and musical events. Ron plays regularly with the Praise Team at the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Tennessee, and he plays in the Mel Deal Guitar Ensemble at the Nashville Jazz Workshop. Ron recently started a jazz trio called A-Drew-Ron-Ron and is working to start an Elk Valley Jazz Ensemble. While he prefers jazz, Ron is open to playing any type of music.

Ron hosts a weekly Performing Arts Show at the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Art Center in Fayetteville, Tennessee with co-host Taylor Hoch. The show is open to any type of performing art, including musicians, songwriters, singers, poets, dramatists, and comedians. This weekly event is open to all and is held every Thursday night from 7 to 10pm.
